Short Term Power Scheduler and Trader

About the role

Schedule and confirm physical and financial power transactions, manage bids and offers, and execute trading strategies across organized power markets. Analyze market data, monitor positions and risks, coordinate with internal teams and counterparties, and ensure compliance with market rules and reliability standards. A bachelor's degree in economics, finance, engineering, business administration, or a related field is sought, though equivalent education and relevant experience may be considered. Candidates should have foundational knowledge of North American power markets, trading, and risk management, strong analytical and communication skills, and the ability to make sound decisions in a fast-paced environment; experience with Python, R, MATLAB, or similar tools is preferred.
