Junior Oil Trader

About the role

Support oil trading activities in Asia by booking and verifying physical and derivative transactions, monitoring positions and risk exposures, and preparing and explaining daily P&L and market analysis. Oversee physical transactions from pricing through settlement, coordinate issue resolution with Operations, Finance, and Risk, and help improve and automate desk processes. Candidates should have up to three years of experience in commodities, trading, or financial markets, with physical commodities exposure advantageous, and a degree in finance, economics, engineering, or a related quantitative discipline. They should demonstrate accuracy, strong numerical and analytical ability, advanced Excel skills, interest in oil trading, integrity, resilience under pressure, and effective communication; Python, VBA, and Mandarin are advantages.
