About the role
Develop and execute proprietary NYISO virtual electricity trading strategies, identifying risk-adjusted opportunities through analysis of prices, congestion, market fundamentals, and day-ahead versus real-time settlements. Manage trading positions, capital, risk, and portfolio exposure, and improve strategies through performance analysis, modeling, and disciplined adjustments. Candidates should have established wholesale electricity trading experience, ideally with direct NYISO virtual trading participation, and a verifiable record of profitable results. They should understand NYISO market structures, LMP, congestion, settlements, quantitative analysis, forecasting, and risk management, and be able to develop and execute strategies independently; Excel, Python, or SQL experience is advantageous.
