Assets Trader – Power & Gas (Europe)

About the role

Develop and execute short- and long-term optimization, trading, and hedging strategies for a portfolio of flexible European power generation assets and procurement contracts. Analyze power, gas, and emissions markets; optimize asset dispatch; execute trades; improve analytical tools; and collaborate with operations, asset owners, commercial teams, and other trading desks while adhering to risk and compliance requirements. Requires a degree in engineering, finance, or an equivalent field, plus at least seven years of European power trading experience and practical expertise in asset-backed trading and optimization. Candidates should bring strong market and quantitative analysis skills, experience with physical and financial trading instruments, sound risk and regulatory knowledge, initiative, and strong communication skills; fluency in English is required, while additional European languages are an advantage.
