Senior ERCOT Power Trader

About the role

Develop and execute short- and long-term proprietary and risk-management trading strategies across ERCOT day-ahead, real-time, congestion, and ancillary service markets. Analyze market fundamentals and collaborate with analytics, quantitative, technology, originations, and risk teams to identify opportunities, improve forecasts, and manage trading within approved risk limits. Requires extensive ERCOT power trading experience with a proven record of generating risk-adjusted returns and deep knowledge of market dynamics, including congestion, nodal pricing, generation economics, ancillary services, and transmission constraints. Candidates should demonstrate strong analytical and quantitative judgment, disciplined portfolio risk management, and the ability to form market views using power fundamentals, weather, fuel markets, and regulatory developments.
