About the role
Analyze Western U.S. natural gas fundamentals and use physical market knowledge to identify short-term opportunities and inform financial trading strategies. Collaborate with power traders and quantitative analysts to develop market analytics, models, and signals while building the firm's gas trading capabilities and taking on increasing risk responsibility. The ideal candidate has experience in physical natural gas trading, especially cash or short-term markets, and a strong understanding of Western U.S. infrastructure, regional hubs, and market fundamentals. They should be commercially minded, analytically capable, collaborative, and motivated to develop speculative trading skills; prior experience managing a speculative book is not required.
