Senior ERCOT Power Trader

About the role

Develop and execute short- and long-term proprietary and risk-management trading strategies across ERCOT day-ahead, real-time, congestion, and ancillary service markets. Analyze market fundamentals and collaborate with analytics, quantitative, technology, risk, and trading teams to identify opportunities, improve forecasts, and generate risk-adjusted returns within approved limits. Requires extensive ERCOT power trading experience with a proven record of risk-adjusted returns and deep knowledge of market dynamics, including congestion, nodal pricing, generation economics, ancillary services, and transmission constraints. Candidates should be able to analyze power fundamentals, weather, fuel markets, and regulatory developments, and demonstrate strong risk discipline, quantitative and analytical ability, and sound decision-making.
